Attached please find statements taken by

me from CHAR PU LEE, 7 years, owner of Fishing Junkc

No.387. H., and CHAM CHAU PAT, 28 years, foki, whose

fishing Junk #o.2870 H.0. was destroyed by fire by a

Japanese trawler on the 18th cetober, 1989, also report

by fficer in Charge No. 8 Police launch.

On the 14th October, 1989, I went to the

soane of the outrage with the above 2 men on board

No. 5 leuagh and they pointed out to the officer is

Charge No. 3 lawch a position about midway between

PAN LAU Polat and CHI CHAD Inland inside territorial

waters, as the place where the burning occurred. There

were no lives lost but property to the value of 800.00

was destroyed and the junk wes damaged by fire beyʊDÁ beyond

repair and is now lying in TAI O harbour.
